[Eley had made a promise, and when he said he was going to do something, he would do it. Saleh had requested that he kept an eye on his student while he was away on the draft and besides, the Spirit needed something to occupy himself too, to try to stop himself from worrying too much.

He'd been to Saleh's home before and so it was here he was heading today, to check on Ewan and carry out his word.

He knocks on the door of Room 5, shuffling a little awkwardly. He still wasn't used to being inside human dwellings like this...]

Oh! Um, just a sec! [Ewan puts down the book he was trying to study and goes to answer the door]

[Action]

[Eley waits patiently for him to reach the door, tilting his head slightly as it opens.]

Ewan, correct? We have spoken briefly before.

[Action]

Yeah, I think I remember.

[Action]

[winds_voice]

[Good, that will hopefully make things a little easier.]

Saleh... asked me to keep an eye on you while he was away on the draft. I assume this will not be a problem?

No, I don't mind. I'm always glad to get to know people better!

Then may I come in?

[He asks, already looking over the boy's shoulder. He might not be used to houses, but he's still curious.]

I hope I did not interrupt you upon my arrival.

No, it's okay! I was studying but I wasn't getting much done anyway.

[Action]

[winds_voice]

Hmm... [He steps inside now, closing the door behind him.]

What were you studying if you do not mind me asking? Saleh is your teacher, yes?

Oh, some advanced anima magic theories and spells. Yeah, he is...he's the best teacher ever, too.

[Ah, yes. Of course he would be studying magic.]

Saleh is a good friend, I am sure he would make a good teacher as well.

I have an interest in this magic of yours. Can you show me anything?

[You just said the magic words. Ewan LOVES showing off his skills to people!] I can show you a lot of things!

[He tilts his head, attentive now.]

Yes, you must have many skills after studying so much. Why don't you show me your most impressive ability?

We'll have to go outside for this so nothing gets messed up. I don't want teacher coming back to a messy house!

[Action]

Ah, yes of course. I would not want to cause any trouble for Saleh either.

[He was supposed to be taking care of Ewan after all, not encouraging him to mess up the place!]

Then let us go outside so you can show me what you can do. [He says, gesturing to the door.]

[Ewan happily leads Eleytheria outside, tome in hand]

Check this out! I can make shapes using Elfire now! [and he begins to chant]

[Eley follows him outside to a more spacious area and watches as he begins to chant. He recalls seeing something similar with Saleh before he was kidnapped... Having wanted to see more of his spell-casting and learn more about how it works, he was certainly fascinated to see Ewan forming his own spell now.

He stays silent for a moment, not wanting to interrupt him though he was always dying to ask questions.]

[The tendrils of fire "dance" in the air for a moment before forming a thick wall around a nearby rock. Not quite the trick he'd hoped to pull off, maybe it works better with Thunder magic...]

[Eley doesn't seem to have realised that wasn't the desired effect though and watches the fire with some interest.]

How long did it take you to practice doing such a thing with your magic? Does it all come from that book?

Well, some of it comes from the book but most of it has to come from inside you. Teacher explained it to me but I don't remember all of it...and yeah, it took me a long time to learn this spell!
